To use movement skills as a method to enhance the performance of our lives.
What if the way you approach every day is keeping you from performing your best?
Professionalism • Integrity • Team • Passion • Safety
The mission began when company President, John Lytton, ended his professional soccer-playing career in Brazil. He immediately turned his interest in sports science into a catalyst for his passion to continue to be involved in the game of soccer.
The next step was an obvious direction.
The ever widening gap between technical and physical skill sets within the development of youth soccer players was more apparent than ever as Lytton returned to the states. He immediately sought out the people that would give him the experience needed to become a leader in the youth movement…which brought him to Charlotte and provided the priceless opportunities to work with the likes of Vasco Da Gama (Brazilian 1st division), the England u-20 national team, the Carolina Panthers, and dozens of youth clubs/teams/and organizations across the country.
It wasn’t until 2010 that Performance Unlimited was officially created and Lytton took his experience and began developing the Performance U brand.
Our company started with a few local players on the corner of any local field that could be found. With these players came unprecedented results through a foundational belief that each training session must be executed with the relentless pursuit of developing fundamental principles and core values.
Our fundamentals begin with the approach that technical skills can only be executed through a quality of movement. We believe in a fundamental rule stating that better quality of movement allows better execution of technical skills as well as more opportunities to execute these skills. If you include the fundamental rule in every training environment and create a culture that drives core values, players will find themselves growing every day and enjoying the process.
Today, we have are growing at a rapid pace and opened our home training facility in November 2013 in order to incubate these training fundamentals and core values to a wider number of athletes in the game of soccer and lacrosse. In that same time, we began our Performance Fitness program that fills the gap of value and information being created in the health and fitness industry.
In any given day, when you walk through the doors at Performance Unlimited, you will find a high quality staff that works for you and your goals. You can find Olympic athletes training along NFL players, beside a working mother of 3. All of them different in their goals thus the methods are unique to them, yet the fundamental principles and core values are the same.
Our staff is dedicated to assisting young people on the journey to their athletic goals by giving them the necessary tools to increase their limitless performance ability.
